Lisamarie Nash, L.M.T., C.L.T., is currently licensed by the State of Michigan and is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage as well as Lymphatic Therapy.
She received her undergraduate training from Oakland Community College which emphasizes an orthopedic approach and integrates many of the same principals taught to physical therapists. She graduated with an applied science in massage therapy from the rigorous 800 HOURS program. Topics of study included: human anatomy, physiology, Kinesiology, extensive research on the application of massage therapy for the treatment of pathological conditions, myo-fascial release, trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique, deep tissue, Swedish massage, pre-natal massage and sports massage as well as massage for special populations.
Lisamarie completed an additional 200 hours post-graduate training through William Beaumont Hospital Integrative Medicine Department. She is certified in Hospital/Oncology Massage. She has also completed her National Certification in Lymphatic Therapy through Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy. This training gives her the ability to safely administer massage to special populations of people who have medical conditions which necessitate a skilled and knowledgeable therapist.
Because of her well-rounded training, Lisamarie is equipped to address a variety of conditions and remains open in her approach in order to adapt to each client's unique and changing needs.
She is the owner and sole practitioner of Therapeutic Massage of Michigan, L.L.C.
